Camellia Net (eBooks) - Download free eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines or stream video! Thousands of titles are available.  You must be logged in to see all titles available to RCPL patrons.  Log in with your 8-digit Rainbow City Public Library card number (start with the first zero and skip the last digit).

Code of Alabama 1975 - View or search the Code of Alabama.

Chilton Library - Chilton is the world’s most comprehensive and trusted automotive repair database with easy-to-follow, step-by-step repair guidance on thousands of cars and trucks from 1940 to the present.   This database is available to Alabama residents courtesy of Alabama Public Library Service.

Encyclopedia of Alabama - A free, online resource on Alabama history, culture, geography, and natural environment.  This site offers articles on Alabama's famous people, historic events, sports, art, literature, industry, government, plant and animal life, agriculture, recreation, and so much more.

Fiero Code  (fomerly Prenda Code Club) - Fiero Code is a self-guided online software program for children that teaches you how to code through hundreds of coding tutorials and dozens of real-world projects.  Fiero offers a gamified learning experience ― as you progress through the activities, you’ll earn clothes and accessories for your personal avatar.

tglf-webGale Legal Forms - is available through the Alabama Virtual Library.  You can access state-specific legal forms including wills, real estate contracts, power of attorney, landlord tenant, premarital agreements, and more.  Forms are fill-in-the-blank and downloadable and are constantly updated to reflect the latest Alabama laws.  This resource is accessible on the College & University Resources, Adult Resources, and All Resources pages. Most Alabama residents will not need a password to access this resource or the other resources available through the Alabama Virtual Library.

Heritage Quest Online - Research your ancestry!  You'll find U.S. federal census records, family histories, published genealogies, historical books, Revolutionary War records, Freedman's Bank records, and more to help you trace your American ancestors' paths across history.  Remote access is available.  If you are using Heritage Quest from home you will be prompted to enter your 14 digit Rainbow City Library Card number.

Homework Alabama - Free Online Tutoring, Job Search Assistance and Academic & Career Resources for Alabama residents from  Tutors are available from 3pm-10pm, Central Time. There are also Homework Resources, Test Prep Resources and Career Resources available 24/7.

The Merck Manuals - The Merck Manuals are medical resource for professionals and consumers. The digital form has both a professional version, with more advanced content for medical students and professionals, and a consumer version, with easier to understand content for laypeople, and translations to many languages, including Spanish, Korean, and German.  Access to the Merck Manuals are made possible by the Alabama Public Library service and is part of Merck’s Global Medical Knowledge 2020 initiative, which aims to make current medical information accessible to 3 billion professionals and patients around the world by 2020.

Salem Literature Home Access - Online access is available for the following Salem Literature titles: The Critical Survey of Poetry, The Critical Survey of Long Fiction, The Critical Survey of Short Fiction, and Masterplots, 4th ed.  Log in with your 14-digit RCPL card number from home or  click here for in-library access.


Tumble Book Library - TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.  TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.  TBL also includes National Geographic videos and games. Users can access TBL from any smartphone, or iPad/Android tablet with an internet connection.  Your kids can read as much as they want, when they want, with no wait times, check-outs, or downloads!

Universal Class - is now available in the Libby App!  Learn something new today! With Universal Class, you have free access to 500+ online courses with CEU credits available!
