Rainbow Reading Buddies
This program is designed to instill a love of reading, as well as promote library use among pre-readers. The program is for children ages 6 & under and involves a commitment for children to read library books at home with their "Reading Buddy." Children are rewarded with a prize from the library's treasure chest for every 15 library books read during the school year (August through May). Stop by the library to ask for a reading log to record the library books you read to your child. Each completed reading log may be returned for a prize.

Stop by the library to pick up a free reading log and start reading! You can count books checked out from the library or books from your own collection. If you read a book multiple times, each time counts. You may also count each RCPL book you read towards prizes in our Rainbow Reading Buddies Program!
