beginning in September and concluding in mid-May.
Children ages 3-5 may attend a program at
11:00am or 1:30pm.
(The same program is held at 2 different times.) Programs usually
last about 30 minutes and feature stories, songs,
fingerplays, and crafts.
This program is
designed to instill a love of reading as well as promote library use among
preschoolers. The program involves a simple
commitment to read library books at home with a "Reading Buddy."
Children are rewarded with a prize from the library's treasure chest for every
15 library books read
Pick up a reading log to record the library books you read to your child. Each
completed reading log may be returned for a prize.
